History of Central Coast Seniors Center.  In 1990 local humanitarian Harold Guiton donated the area at the present location especially for a Seniors Center. The building you see today was built by volunteers from the Five Cities area.

Support of the Center. Since 1990 the Center Coast Seniors Center has been well occupied and busy, supported by members, donations and fundraisers.  There is one manager, who receives a small token salary, and a large group of volunteers who fill all of the positions needed at the Center from Front Desk, to Bingo, Kitchen, Cleaning, Maintenance, and so on.  From washing the floors to answering the phone  the volunteers fill the staff positions.

In 2004 Betty Milne stepped in to help out as manager, when there was an emergency, and she’s been helping out ever since.  The Central Coast Seniors Center and the local community is grateful to Betty , her dedicated volunteers, and the many contributors who have enabled the Center to keep the doors open, despite operating with a small budget.

There is an article about the Central Coast Seniors Center History under the grey tab at the top of the blog.  You can read about the many Contributors by clicking on the tab with that label.   Our wonderful Volunteers are listed under their tab, along with their areas of specialty.

Spiritual Services. Sunday mornings at 10 am we have an inspirational spiritual service, from The Center for Creative Thought, guaranteed to be full of creative, uplifting thoughts and beautiful, live music.
