Hello All,
Where did the summer go? What with our mild weather, which I like it seemed to not really get here yet. However, I’m well aware of how hot our fall can get to make up for the difference.
I hope each of you got to do maybe a bit of traveling, picnicking or just having plain fun.
Events this month are:
August 8th-Sat-
1pm our monthly potluck. This month it is a Italian dinner. Meatballs spaghetti, lasagna, bread and dessert. You supply the side dish. And if your favorite is not Italian
I’m sure there will be something to appease your appetite.
August 11 & 12th
–This month brings us 55 Alive again on . You will need to contact Larry Lindsey 481-8561 for information. This program not only gives you latest laws in driving it gives you a break on your insurance bill. Take advantage of it.
August 19th 6:30
Spiritual Cinema. This is a uplifting movie and discussion after. A great way to meet new friends and have a nite out. $5 for members $6 non members.
September 17th 10-2 pm
will bring the shredders “THANKS TO HOME INSTEAD” back to help us get rid of all our old documents. You have plenty of time to get your stuff pulled out and separated to bring in. I know I have plenty to go through.
I want to thank Barbara Fitzgerald for taking on the deck volunteer job. Those who have worked the desk know there is plenty to be handled and she is a master at it. Thank you Barbara. And once again I want to thank Dee Stewart for her time and effort she gave us and the ability to notice that Barbara would be excellent at the job.
Thank you desk volunteers, activities chairpersons and all else who give of your time to make it less difficult for the rest of us. I appreciate you.
Friday Nite Bingo
is moving right along and the pots grow each week. I want to thank the players and the helpers with you we are able to bloom.
The CCT Tithes That Bind Bar-b-q Fundraiser was a success and to all who came know that the Central Coast Seniors will be recipients of funds from it. Last year the money came in just as we needed a major overhaul of the heating system. Thank you Center for Creative Thought for taking us as a beneficiary. We appreciate all you do for the Sr. Ct.
We are always open to new projects and plans to bring in much needed money, if you have any ideas come to the Board meeting on August 12th and give us your ideas. 9 AM
